“When our home air conditioner system stopped producing cold air, we had made three phone calls to different 24-hour services. Coastal Air was one that replied and had a technician called to make an appointment for that same evening. The technician arrived and checked out our system and determined that one of the capacitors needed to be replaced. The techs name was Andy, and he was efficient, knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and spent time with us going over the condition of our 13-year-old unit.
At the completion of the service, he was not pushy but, when asked, he gave advice as to the various systems available that would be best as a replacement for the size of our house and our living conditions.
As a business that has survived over 40 years with excellent reviews are a welcome entity for this area of South Carolina. We have nothing but praise for the technician and the owner of the business.

“I had contracted with Coastal Air & Refrigeration out of Conway, South Carolina to install my new Mitsubishi 23 Seer Mini Split heat pump in my garage as well as a top of the line 20 Seer Trane heat pump HVAC system for my house which both were completed in mid October 2021.
I have to say that I am completely satisfied with all of my interactions with the company sales and technical team. Both units were installed in a matter of hours and I have had no reason to have them return for any adjustments or malfunctions. Another thing I love about Coastal Air & Refrigeration is that I don’t get annoying telemarketing calls trying to sell me more services every week like I did with one of the well known national companies.
Chris Causey is my sales point of contact and Chris is extremely customer focused. He returns calls promptly and he arrives when he says he will come. His proposals were very professional and state-of-the-art. I was given options for four different solutions at my request and ended up choosing the top Trane 20 Seer system. I was able to sign the contract using a Docusign type system. It was a very simple process from start to finish.
Coastal Air & Refrigeration is a small family company and most of their business is in the commercial realm. Their technicians are some of the best I have ever seen. All of the installation was done to the highest standards. Everything is plum and there was no unnecessary holes drilled through my walls or any installation repeats.
